This fundraising event supports the mission of SOS Children’s Villages Florida and is limited to 100 guests. SOS is a unique foster care community focused on keeping siblings together while ensuring that our children heal emotionally and excel academically in preparation for a life ahead.
Our luncheon will feature guest speaker Heidi Schaeffer M.D., President of the Human Trafficking Coalition of the Palm Beaches. She will address the serious human trafficking issue impacting South Florida while sharing the correlation between human trafficking and foster care. Our goal is to educate the community and generate awareness of this issue. The funds raised from this event will help keep our children’s environment one where they are safe, stable, and loved.
Along with Event Chair, Michelle Martinez Reyes, Chief Marketing Officer with Greenspoon Marder, we invite you to join us onboard the Celebrity Equinox. The event will include a ship preview tour, a sumptuous luncheon, exclusive silent auction and raffle items, excellent networking, and the opportunity to make your impact on vulnerable lives.

EVENT HOURS: 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive no later than 9:00 am. There will be passengers embarking and disembarking along with our group and we need to all go through the security area together. Arriving late will create problems at security. We will start our day with a grand tour of the ship.
Where am I to go?
Go to Port Everglades by the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. We will be onboard the Celebrity Cruises Equinox. Look for an SOS Children’s Villages Sign/Ambassador that will direct you to our group.
Ship boarding process will begin once the ship has received security clearance.
Please note that you will show your form of ID (Driver’s License or Passport), to the ship's Security Officers.
Please note: The following may cause delayed boarding:
• Coast Guard inspections can delay the ship boarding process
• Customs and Immigrations can delay the ship boarding process
• Late arrival of the ship on that morning can delay the boarding process
• Port Security, which is your first point of entry into the terminal, can delay the boarding process
• The Ship Security Officers checking id's can delay the boarding process
• You could be denied boarding if you do not bring proper identification (Driver's License or Passport)
Disembarkation will begin no later than 2:00pm.
What should I wear?
It is recommended that you dress comfortably (resort casual), with comfortable shoes as the tour includes multiple decks throughout the entire vessel.
What about Parking?
Park in lot for Equinox. Look for someone with SOS signage who will show you the way to our group. We will gather at the security entrance at the far north end of the port. There is a $6.00 parking fee. Please note, parking fees are at your own expense.
You have all my information; do I still need to bring my ID?
Yes!! You will be denied access to the ship without identification. What’s more, is that you need to bring the same identification you provided when confirming your attendance. For example, if you used your driver’s license, please bring that. If you used your passport you will need to bring that with you. Please pay careful attention to this section as we will miss you if you are unable to get on board!!
What if I want to leave early?
Due to regulations, guests and passengers are unable to disembark on their own. This means that in the case of emergency arrangements will need to be made for someone to escort you off the ship. Please plan to remain on board until our group departs at 2:30 pm.
